Root weevil

Number 7533. This appears to be a root weevil of some kind. There are quite a few different species of root weevil in Western Canada. Root weevils in general are an exterior pest, they do not cause structural damage, and they do not bite/sting. They are what we would consider an occasional invader. Below is a link to some info on the strawberry root weevil and the black vine weevil for reference as they are both very common, however as mentioned the specific weevil may be slightly different from the ones outlined.
