On our apple tree today (4-28-2021) in Rochester , NY I saw two of these “pollinator assassins” capturing, killing and then ?sucking body fluid from small pollinators. Number 7188.  This is a nymph of an assassin bug (Hemiptera/Heteroptera: Reduviidae) in the genus Zelus. These are opportunistic predators on any other small invertebrates (usually other insects) that they are able to capture.
