7404.      Hello, I have found one of these in my bed when I woke up, and I would like to know if this bug will bite in your sleep, thank you. Toronto, ON. Canada

 

 

Number 7404.    This is a nymph of a brown marmorated stink bug, Halyomorpha halys (Hemiptera/Heteroptera: Pentatomidae). This is an introduced species that has become a pest, primarily in orchards, in many areas of North America. They will come indoors in search for shelter, but do no harm there, and will not bite.
