This is a metallic wood-boring beetle (Coleoptera: Buprestidae), possibly in the genus Chalcophora; see https://tinyurl.com/ybeug8rl for an example. Larvae of these beetles are known as flat-headed wood borers, and make characteristic oval-shaped tunnels in wood.
