Leaf Beetle

5657  Hi my name is Matthias.  Last few weeks a lot of these guys have popped up in my house. I live in Brampton Ontario Canada. They’re mainly on my ceiling and high up on my walls, they fly and are 2-4mm when we get a closer look they tuck their feet in and dont move.

This is a leaf beetle (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) in the subfamily Bruchinae. Known as pea or bean weevils, their larvae develop in dry seeds, primarily legumes such as peas and beans, so if you have any such in storage, you should check them for signs of infestation.
