Pest Detective
We are
a pest management firm dedicated to utilizing research and technology
that facilitates an alternative approach to pest control rather than
relying on conventional methods. Through ongoing education about
emerging ecological and environmental research we continue to discover
new ways to control with minimal or no pesticide use.
Pesticide Alternatives
These
alternative methods range from modifying cultural behaviour to minimal
use of the least toxic chemicals or completely non-chemical, natural
solutions. These methods require a greater understanding of our complex
ecosystem which make the educational process as important as correct
application, also known as
I.P.M. (Integrated Pest Management),
and is part of every pest control treatment that we do.
Treatments
are based on knowing when and where applications are necessary. Also,
which strategy or combination of strategies will have the greatest
impact on the target pest and the least impact on the surrounding
environment.
